Porridge (oatmeal)

Ingredients
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons butter
- 1/2 cup cold milk (or more if desired)
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, combine the oats, water, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
- 2 bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, and simmer until the liquid has been absorbed, stirring frequently.
- 3 pour into bowls, and top each with a pat of butter, bananas, raisins, and a splash of cold milk.
