Red Plum And Cinnamon Jam

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 lbs red plums
  • 2 1/4 lbs sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick, ground in a spice mill

Recipe

  • 1 cut the plums in halves or quarters and remove the pits.
  • 2 put the prepared fruit in a pot and add 1 cup water, the sugar and cinnamon.
  • 3 cook gently over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  • 4 increase the heat, bring to a full rolling boil and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the jam has reached the setting point.
  • 5 ladle into hot sterilized jars.
