Good Morning Oatmeal

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups apple juice
  • 1 (7 ounce) package mixed dried fruit
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 pears, cored and chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 2 (6 ounce) containers vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup granola cereal

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, combine juice, dried fruit, sugar and cinnamon. bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
  • 2 add pears; cook, covered, 10 minutes. cool, drain and discard liquid.
  • 3 bring water and milk to a boil; add salt and oats. reduce heat to medium; cook 1 minute; stir.
  • 4 to serve, top each serving of oatmeal with fruit mixture, yogurt and granola.
