Gooseberry Chutney

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can gooseberries (in light syrup)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar (yes, again)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch allspice
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
Recipe
- 1 in a small saucepan, combine berries, sugar, vinegar & salt.
- 2 simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3 add alspice, cinnamon & cloves & simmer an additional 10 minutes.
- 4 cool & refrigerate.
