Poached Pears.....from The Wine Country Inn

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 8 pears
- apple juice
- 1/4 cup grenadine
- 1 dash cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 combine the lemon juice and water.
- 2 quarter, core and peel the pears, dipping them in lemon juice mixture as you go, to prevent browning.
- 3 place them in a crockpot and cover with apple juice.
- 4 add the grenadine and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- 5 cook on the low setting for about 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
