Guava Duff

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 ounces butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups guava, pulp
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- black pepper, taste
Recipe
- 1 cream together the butter and sugar for about 30 minutes, then add the eggs and continue to mix for a further 5 minutes.
- 2 blend in the guava pulp, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.
- 3 sift together the flour and baking powder, then fold it into the mixture.
- 4 pour the mixture into the top of a greased double boiler and steam for approximately 2 hours, or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
