Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 grease 8 inch square pan.
  • 3 in a large mixing bowl, beat egg until frothy.
  • 4 beat in sugar and butter, and cream until fluffy.
  • 5 add sour cream and vanilla; blend well.
  • 6 sift dry ingredients together; add to sour cream mixture and blend thoroughly.
  • 7 pour mixture into greased square pan.
  • 8 for the topping: mix together all topping ingredients until butter is evenly incorporated.
  • 9 sprinkle evenly over sour cream mixture.
  • 10 bake 25-30 minutes until center springs back when touched, or when a cake tester is inserted and comes out with a few crumbs.
