Holiday Sunshine Yams

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 14 ounces whole cranberry sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 15 ounces sliced peach halves in syrup
  • 28 ounces canned yams
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter.
  • 2 add whole cranberry sauce to it and cook down.
  • 3 let it cook 5 minutes.
  • 4 add 1 tsp of cinnamon or to taste.
  • 5 add 1/3 to ½ cup brown sugar.
  • 6 drain 1/3 cup of peach syrup into another dish.
  • 7 add 1 tbsp cornstarch to peach syrup and stir together.
  • 8 add peaches to cranberry mixture.
  • 9 let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 10 drain and add yams to pan.
  • 11 let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 12 add peach syrup/cornstarch mixture into pan.
  • 13 let it simmer until it thickens.
