Streusel Blueberry Buckle

Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup fresh blueberries or 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 375*f.
- 2 in a large mixer bowl combine all blueberry buckle ingredients "except blueberries".
- 3 beat at low speed, scraping bowl often until well mixed.
- 4 by hand, fold in blueberries into batter.
- 5 spread into greased and floured 9-inch square baking pan.
- 6 in small bowl stir together all streusel ingredients "except butter".
- 7 cut butter until crumbly, sprinkle over batter.
- 8 bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 9 cut into squares, serve.
