Tarten Riwbob (rhubarb Tart) Welsh

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb rhubarb, sliced
  • water
  • 4 ounces sugar
  • 8 ounces flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 ounces fat
  • 1 pinch mixed spice
  • 1 ounce sugar
  • water

Recipe

  • 1 line a plate or shallow tin with half the pastry.
  • 2 fill with fruit, cover with sugar and add a little water.
  • 3 cover with the rest of the pastry and bake for 45 minutes.
  • 4 oven control: gas mark 6 (400f) for 20 minutes, then down to gas mark 4 (350f) to finish.
