Tasmanian Apple Cake

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • stewed apple
  • cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. add egg and both kinds of flour and mix well.
  • 2 line the bottom of an 8" x 8" pan with half the mixture.
  • 3 add a layer of stewed apples and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • 4 roll out remainder of dough mixture and cover the apples.
  • 5 cook slowly until golden brown.
