New England Yams

Ingredients

- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple slices
- 1 (17 ounce) can yams, drained
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup miniature marshmallow
Recipe
- 1 drain pineapple slices, reserving 1/2 c liquid.
- 2 line sides of baking dish with pineapple and put yams in the center.
- 3 combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. stir in nuts.
- 4 pour reserved pineapple liquid over yams. sprinkle with flour mixture. bake at 350°f for 25 minutes. top with marshmallows and then broil until lightly brown.
