Spinach Borani

Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
- 2 bunches fresh spinach, washed and dried
Recipe
- 1 saute onion and garlic in butter until soft.
- 2 add mixed spices and stir in hot sauce.
- 3 blend yogurt into mixture.
- 4 add spinach and cover; cook over medium heat until spinach is just wilted.
- 5 remove from heat, mix well, and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
