Hot Fruit Compote

Ingredients

- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can pears, slices drained
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 (16 ounce) can peach slices, drained
- 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon clove
- 1 (8 ounce) can dark cherries, drained
Recipe
- 1 heat the oven to 375.
- 2 arrange all fruit, except the cherries in a 13 x 9 inch baking dish or 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- 3 in a small saucepan, over medumh eat, combine all remaining ingredients except cherries. heat and stir until brown sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted.
- 4 pour over fruit.
- 5 add cherries.
- 6 bake for 25 minutes or until fruit is thoroughly heated.
- 7 serve warm.
