Mini Elephant Ears

Ingredients

- 20 frozen dinner rolls
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
Recipe
- 1 thaw dough at room temperature for about 2 hours.
- 2 mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
- 3 set aside.
- 4 heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet or deep-fat fryer to 375 degrees.
- 5 stretch or roll each piece of dough into a flat ear shape.
- 6 fry a few at a time for 1 1/2 minutes per side or until browned.
- 7 drain on paper towels.
- 8 brush with melted butter and sprinkle generous 1 1/4 tsp of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on each ear.
