Espresso Grog

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest, cut into 12 strips
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest, cut into 12 strips
  • 12 ounces espresso
  • rum extract

Recipe

  • 1 in a suacepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  • 2 add brown sugar and spices. allow to cool (mixture can now be stored in the refidgerator till ready to use).
  • 3 to serve, place one teaspoon of the mixture in the bottom of a small espresso cup.
  • 4 add 1 tablespoon cream, and 1 strip of both orange and lemon zest.
  • 5 add 1 oz espresso and a tiny bit (less than 1/8 tsp) of rum extract.
