Grand Spiced Pecans

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar, plus
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon karo
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Recipe

  • 1 in pot mix together sugars, spices, water and karo syrup.
  • 2 heat on medium-low to soft ball stage (236 degrees) add butter and pecan halves and cook 1 minute longer.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 stir until mixture loses its shininess.
  • 5 pour onto waxed paper before mixture becomes sugary.
  • 6 with 2 forks separate the pecan halves while still warm.
  • 7 cool.
  • 8 enjoy!
  • 9 makes a great gift!
